The Studio

Our pieces begin in a quiet studio in Paris, where mornings are slow and afternoons are spent sketching, draping, and listening to the way a strap falls across a shoulder. We work with a small team, in close conversation, refining each shape until it feels right in the hand and on the body. There is no shortcut for this part. A bag has to be lived with before it is finished.

The Process

We sketch first, then build paper toiles, then sample. Most ideas are set aside. The ones that remain are the ones we still reach for after a season of carrying them ourselves.

The Aesthetic

ByNyla is built on a quiet kind of luxury. Soft structure rather than rigid lines. Supple textures that warm to the body. Silhouettes designed to outlast a season, and then another. Nothing is shouted. Everything is considered.

We choose neutrals that hold their own across years and wardrobes. We avoid logos, hardware that announces itself, and the sort of detail that flatters a photograph but tires the eye over time.
